Open Score

On the occasion of the 29th edition of miart, Nicola Ricciardi curated for BiM - Milan, a project inspired by the theme of the fair and designed to celebrate Robert Rauschenberg on the centenary of his birth.
Created by EX., a design laboratory that stems from the work of Andrea Cassi and Michele Versaci, "Open Score" is inspired by a 19966 performance by the American artist. The exhibition revolves around a single work that combines responsive lights, video projections, audio reproductions of spoken word, and a library: an ever-active, welcoming, and accessible stage achieved through the collaboration of various contributors, including the music publishing house SZ Sugar, the independent bookstore Paint It Black, and the multidisciplinary creative practice of Lorenzo Mason Studio.
