Francesco Simeti - Questa stanza non ha più pareti

Fondazione Officine Saffi presents a new installation of Francesco Simeti’s work "Questa stanza non ha più pareti", the permanent site-specific work created by the artist for the Foundation’s spaces. Conceived as an open and evolving work, "Questa stanza non ha più pareti" originates from the idea of bringing together, within a single surface, fragments of ceramic decorations drawn from different periods and cultures.
In keeping with this ongoing drive toward transformation, the work is now enriched by a new group of ceramic pieces that further expand its spatial and relational dimension. These works were created by the artist together with a group of teenagers from the Paolo Sarpi neighborhood, as part of a workshop held in the ceramic workshop of Officine Saffi.
