Within the "Cantù in Danza" Festival, the event Danze Altrove is an opportunity to explore dance from an intercultural perspective.
It will be conducted by journalist Alessandra Dal Ri, along with:
Marco Giammarchi, a researcher at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, who will bring the theme of dance into a scientific and cosmic context. He will explore dances through the prism of subatomic particles and gravitational waves.
Piero Verni, a journalist, writer, and documentary filmmaker, who will present the tradition of cham dances, ancient ritual dances of Tantric Buddhism, through the screening of an exclusive documentary.
Italo Bertolasi, a photographer and writer, who will present the dances of the Kalandar, Malang, and Dervishes, mystics belonging to the "Islam of the Heart."
