The House of Dorothy by Vincent Grange (1997, Geneva) is an environmental installation at the intersection of space design and queer history. The project is inspired by the definition ‘friends of Dorothy’, one of the many secret codes historically used by the LGBTQIA+ community to identify themselves without being noticed. The house, together with its architecture and objects, celebrates queer spaces across different eras and geographies, serving as a manifesto to reaffirm the importance of their existence.
