Ming Smith - I paint with light

M77 is pleased to announce the first European solo exhibition of the renowned American photographer Ming Smith.
The exhibition, “Ming Smith. I paint with Light,” retraces and celebrates Ming Smith’s artistic production, showcasing photographic works from 1972 to present.
Being the first black female photographer to have her work acquired by MoMA, Smith has captured the essence of African-American culture through her intuitive and poetic vision. With over a hundred photographs, including numerous and never seen before vintage pieces, the exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Smith's most significant works.
