Peng Shuai Paolo - Diasporic Ecologies

The Alik Cavaliere Art Center presents the site-specific creation of Peng Shuai Paolo which successfully fits into the context of Cavaliere's work. In fact, Shuai shows attention to nature and its care. From the point of view of his generation, this modality took on the character of a secular prayer for survival. Shuai's lexicon derives from his obsession with living species and the practice of archiving them and thinking of them as a great combinatorial game. Each type of plant reveals to him characteristics of the way life operates. The Artist's drawings are a further chapter of this project, in which a cosmos of imaginary forms takes inspiration from the real world that enrich our daily mind, helping us to move from simple to complex and from banality to magic.
