ERBARIO

During Milano Art Week and Design Week 2026 Casa degli Artisti, supported by the Michelangelo Foundation, presents a double project by and with the master Ugo La Pietra, who created two installations for the garden of the Casa: ERBARIO and GLI INVASATI.
ERBARIO condenses his historical reflection on ‘diversity’ through engraved marks, a distinctive feature of his practice. From the small encyclopedia that Ugo La Pietra described in the book "Erbario", a series of wild herbs and minor plants have been reproduced for this exhibition on the pages of engobed ceramic books. The result is a narrative that dissolves the boundaries between art and science and suggests a non-hierarchical view of the landscape. The installation will be open to the public until the end of May 2026.
