On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Shazar Gallery presents its fourth "La Stanza project room" in Milan. Transit Grounds brings together the work of two artists, Dimitris Kontodimos (a Greek sculptor) and Gabriel Orlowski (a Polish photographer), who use two different languages to demonstrate a continuum of urban actions: "The contemporary city appears as an archive of memories and a machine of consumption, an organism that accumulates ruins while producing itself," as Massimiliano Maglione writes in the text accompanying the exhibition.
Dimitris Kontodimos's sculptures simulate artificial pathways through which consumerist culture insinuates itself. In Gabriel Orlowski's photographs, however, the ruin is no longer the memory of what has passed, but the form of the present being consumed.
