Hues of Delicacy

Zazà Ramen sake bar & restaurant presents Hues of Delicacy (Sfumature di Delicatezza), a site-specific installation by Anila Rubiku with a critical text by Irene Sofia Comi. The project develops the series The Inner Door, focused on the boundary between private and public space through embroidery, inspired by the internal doors of Milanese residential buildings, transformed into abstract narrative surfaces. The work further reflects on thresholds, transitional forms, and domestic architectures, intertwining the connection between Milan and Canada and the use of glass beads learned from Indigenous communities. The title, drawn from a poem by Elizabeth Woody, evokes fragility, the vibration of light, and intercultural dialogue. In collaboration with Ncontemporary Milano | Venezia.
