SHARE THE EVENT

Paper challenges the traditional idea of exhibition space and architecture as fixed structures, proposing an open, transformable, and shared dimension. In a room suspended between lightness and movement, long strips of paper hang from the ceiling, blocking access and inviting the public to carve their own path.
Visitors take an active role, shaping the configuration and meaning of the work, which becomes a collective, evolving event.
Created in 1971 at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and presented for the first time in Milan, the work reflects on the relationship between individual, environment, and action, embodying Gianni Pettena’s vision of architecture as a critical, participatory, and relational practice.
