From Thursday 12 March to Sunday 19 April 2026, FRENCH PLACE presents CIMA, Matthias Odin’s first solo exhibition in Italy, with a critical text by Arnold Braho. The project stems from the discovery of a former military industrial site where crates used for the production of defence components were found intact. Odin engages these materials as both medium and subject, foregrounding their political dimension. Presented as ruins and recontextualised through a precise museographic approach, the crates are stripped of function and transformed into minimal sculptures suspended between abstraction and evidence, reactivating memory, architecture, and history within the space.
