Fishead Lab presents THE WORLD’S HEAVING BREATH, curated by Yin Shuai and Khemerin Vismara. Inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke’s Sonnets to Orpheus (1922), the exhibition explores breath as a medium of connection. It unfolds across five ten-day “actions,” each highlighting a different artist. From April 9 to 19, it features Paris-based Juan Pablo Macías (Mexico, b. 1974), who has worked with everyday objects since 1995, critically engaging with the Arte Povera movement. Other artists include Marie Cool Fabio Balducci, Bart Houwers, Liu Ding, and Margherita Moscardini. The exhibition emphasizes how acts of “breathing” and “seeing,” together with respect for individual labor, can rediscover authentic connections.
