Maria Lai | Antonio Marras: Paso Doble

A choreography of gestures, threads, and fragments stages a dialogue between the intimate language of Maria Lai and the layered imagination of Antonio Marras. A paso doble in which the two artists are both meeting and parting ways, allowing their works to articulate an identity that is not dissolved by the dance. M77 opens its 2026 programme with “Maria Lai|Antonio Marras: Paso Doble”, an unprecedented project curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti. On view from January 30th to May 16th, 2026, the exhibition brings together, for the first time, the similarities and differences between the two artists through a journey of two hundred works.
