LE SOLEIL, the nomadic publishing house that prints using solar energy, presents LAPIDARIO, its first art book created in collaboration with artist Trystan Williams. Williams' work focuses on the practice of laser-engraving phrases found online onto small stones he encounters IRL. This multidimensional research preserves the irony, personal stories, and narratives of life in the second millennium written by anonymous users, anticipating a future in which, without electricity, they will be lost. Williams presents the work in conversation with Lorenzo Zaffaroni, researcher in cultural sociology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, who investigates the intersection of artistic languages, the political agency of aesthetic forms, and the transformation of cultural fields.
