How many landscapes have been lost because they were devastated by pollution? Robert Gschwantner (Steyr, 1968) has devoted his artistic practice to the sculptural narration of these human-generated events. At Casa Testori he presents works created after his explorations in the critical sites of Las Médulas in Spain, Gyali and Corinth in Greece and Afsluitdijk in the Netherlands. The beauty and unpredictability of his works' forms preserve the residues of the disasters. An important element in Gschwantner’s work is his dialogue with Antonio Latella, one of Italy’s leading theatre directors and his companion in both travel and poetic reflection. The exhibition will be accompanied by a guide to the works in the form of a dialogue between Gschwantner and Latella, edited by Gilberto Santini.
