Antonini Milano presso Palazzo Borromeo
In dialogue with the 15th-century Borromeo Games, Mangoni develops a series of drawings that reinterpret the courtly iconographic repertoire, treating it as an open field of variation. The work engages with the late Gothic Lombard tradition, where miniatures and votive representations translated the observation of reality into a system of signs. Similarly, Mangoni reactivates the tension between observation and construction, revealing the figure as a dynamic process rather than a fixed form. Polisemie del visibile functions as a device in which the image unfolds in multiple states and appearances, presenting the visible not as a simple multiplication of meanings but as an unstable and plural condition of the image itself.
