The Inconsistent Sea

The Tulpenmanie Gallery, in collaboration with the Accademia dei Conigli, presents The Inconsistent Sea, a solo exhibition by Messina-based artist
and architect Fabrizio Ciappina, curated by Lorenzo Degli Esposti. On display are fifteen watercolors of landscapes: the sea, large square boulders and chipped stones, mountains in the background, and the sky come together in paratactic configurations, suspended between abstraction and figuration. For the opening, a conversation between novelist and architect Gianni Biondillo, landscape architect Elisa Cristiana Cattaneo, curator Lorenzo Degli Esposti, psychoanalyst Augusto Iossa Fasano, and the artist himself will take place, on Horcynus Orca, the literary masterpiece by Stefano D’Arrigo with which Ciappina shares settings and atmospheres.
