The exhibition is dedicated to the Italian artist Fulvia Levi Bianchi (1927-2006), active on the Milanese scene since the 1950s. Levi Bianchi’s work is characterised by a symbolic language centred on two primary elements: the egg, the archetype of life and creation, and the breast, a metaphor for genesis and the infinite. Through painting and sculpture, Levi Bianchi gives life to evocative images, suspended between the real and the abstract, between surrealism and metaphysics. Promoted internationally by Alexander Iolas and supported by the critic Pierre Restany, she has established herself as one of the most innovative voices on the art scene of her time, today deserving a rediscovery.
