Art for Tomorrow, organized by the Democracy and Culture Foundation, is excited to collaborate with Milano Art Week for two inspiring talks on the afternoon of Friday, April 4.
The first will address the importance of “creative alliances” and open collaboration in cultural space and will feature Nicola Ricciardi, Artistic Director of miart, Julia Blaut, Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Anthony Huberman, curator and writer, and Giulia Cenci, artist.
The second will be an exclusive conversation with artist and filmmaker Amos Gitaï.
In the past year alone, the celebrated artist and filmmaker Amos Gitaï has released the film "Shikun," staged the play "Golem," published a book with Stefano Boeri, helped curate a digital archive of his work at Stanford University, completed an exhibition about Yitzah Rabin, given many interviews and written many articles. It would be challenging to accomplish all of this without the relationships Gitaï has built up over the years: those who raise their voices to realize a joint vision. This exclusive conversation will focus on Gitaï and his collaborations, how they have enriched his work and helped him renew and diversify over a decades-long career.
Both sessions will be moderated by Roslyn Sulcas of The New York Times.
The talks will be in English.
